This study presents research on the area of electronic personal health record technology acceptance. Healthcare information availability is one aspect of the healthcare industry that has been identified as needing improvement to decrease healthcare related deaths. This research will present evidence supporting the benefits of electronic personal health record acceptance by individuals age 65 and older. This study utilizes the technology acceptance model (TAM) in order to understand the criteria for use and usefulness of individuals born prior to 1943 or individuals 65 years and older. The data analysis that was presented focused on electronic personal health records and it shows that the senior patient populous at large has accepted personal health records.
